Top 5 Marketing Trends and Predictions for 2022

A new year is about to start, and alongside this comes new social media trends, algorithms, etc.

Almost everyone has been glued to their smartphones and other gadgets for the past year, and social media has continued to be part of our daily lives -- and we just can’t help it.

So if you are already planning and brainstorming for your marketing strategies for the year 2022, these possibilities and other trends may help you put things into a better perspective.

  1. Using video content for marketing. Whether through Reels or a 15-second Tiktok, video content creation has captured the attention of many consumers. If you haven’t tried diving into this side of marketing yet, you might want to consider this since it will surely help your business grow. You will be able to catch the attention of your target audience because more people enjoy watching videos over reading wordy paragraphs. In a few minutes, you will get your message across and introduce your products or services well.

  2. Facebook remains at the top of the list. Despite the many issues that Facebook had to fix in 2021, it will remain the most used social media application in 2022. Although many other applications are now in the game, Facebook still has the most users, with the most hours spent. You might want to consider boosting your engagement with your Facebook audience since this is the platform where people are spending most of their time.

  3. Mobile-user friendly. As you read above, more and more people have been glued to their gadgets, mostly their smartphones, and less on their desktops or laptops, especially when it’s for leisure. It’s much more convenient for most people to use their phones to scroll through whatever application and transfer from one application to another. With this information, you must ensure that your website or page is mobile-user friendly. Meaning, your page must be easy to navigate, even when someone is just scrolling through their mobile phone. Usually, when a site is not mobile-user friendly, people will not have the patience to transfer to their laptops or desktops. Before uploading or sending anything, make sure it looks good and works well through any mobile device.

  4. Hybrid events. COVID-19 gave rise to online events like webinars. But restrictions are slowly easing up, and more people are not afraid to gather physically, but some are still hesitant. Online events are convenient and also reach people in different locations. A hybrid event offers an in-person option as well as an online one. Through these events, you can reach more people. It is not enough to just reach them, though. They need to be engaged to feel like they are a part of things, even from the comfort of their own homes. When executing a hybrid event, make sure that your audio and video are clear and prepare for any technical issues. One can also use AR and VR to gain more participation from your online audience.

  5. Content marketing. Your business can show up in many ways, but the most important thing is your content itself. PR, leadership, and SEO must all be aligned to stand out from others. When you do this, you will be more visible and gain credibility. Do not sacrifice the quality of the content you share for the number of followers or engagement that you get. Remember, quality over quantity!

We are all hoping for a better year this coming 2022, and with this hope comes new and better ways to show up, market your business, and effectively help your target market as well. Contact us and we will help you maximize your marketing strategies!
